What membrane properties are important for RED?

The "Imagine Membrane" conference was organised in Azores, Portugal from the 24 to the 29 of September 2017. Andriy Yaroshchuk from UPC delivered a presentation with the title "Energy harvesting by RED: what membrane properties are important and how can we get to them". The presentation discussed the results of the UPC work withithin the RED Heat-to-Power project, where the understanding about the Ion Exchange Membranes has advanced through both experimental and theoretical work.

Then, at the occasion of the "Annual meeting of North American Membrane Society" that took place on the 9 to 12 of June 2018 in Lexington, KY, USA, Andriy delivered the presentation "Extended Donnan model(s) to rationalize equilibrium ion affinity and preferential transfer of ions of equal charge (sign) in ion-exchange membranes".
