The project goes to Athens
Sept. 12, 2018
The RED Heat-to-Power project sent a strong representation to the conference "Desalination for the Environment: Clean Water and Energy" that was organised in on the 3–6 September 2018, in Athens, Greece. In total 5 presentations from the project were included in the programme, while the project had also space in the exhibition area. The five presentations and their authors are listed below:
- Experimental assessment of reverse electrodialysis in closed-loop configuration fed by NH4HCO3-water solutions, F. Giacalone, F. Vassallo, F. Scargiali, A. Tamburini, A. Cipollina, G. Micale (UNIPA)
- Thermodynamic characterisation of novel solutions for closed-loop Reverse Electrodialysis, F. Giacalone, C. Olkis, G. Santori, A. Cipollina, S. Brandani, G. Micale (UNIPA)
- Performance Analysis of Reverse Electrodialysis Heat Engine with Multi-Effect Distillation Regeneration Stage and Non-Conventional Solutions, B. Ortega, F. Giacalone, A. Cipollina, G. Micale G. (UNIPA)
- Fluid-structure interaction in electromembrane processes: modelling of membrane deformation, fluid dynamics and mass transfer, G. Battaglia, L. Gurreri, A. Tamburini, A. Cipollina, M. Ciofalo, G. Micale (UNIPA)
- Performance evaluation of a novel vacuum-enhanced air-gap membrane distillation module for regeneration of salinity gradients, J. A. Andrés-Mañas, F.G. Acién, G. Zaragoza (CIEMAT)
