On the 23, 24 and 25 of January 2017 the project partners met in Leuven, Belgium to update the European Commission representatives about the progress of the project and to get feedback from industry stakeholders about the future direction of research and development activites.
The research team from the University of Palermo that is involved in RED Heat-to-Power featured in the popular TV show Superquark (RAI1).
The project activities were presented by University of Palermo researchers with one keynote lecture and two posters in three seperate events in Italy in September 2016.

Results from the RED Heat-to-Power project were presented at the 11th Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems that took take place from 4 to 9 of September 2016 in Lisbon.
The RED Heat-to-Power project was presented at the energy days workshop "Generating Electricity from Salt Water: Applications for Salinity Gradient Power" on the 13th of June 2016.
Several RED Heat-To-Power representatives participated at the "Desalination for the Environment" conference organised by EDS in Rome, 22-26 May 2016, updating the 500+ attendees about the latest achievements of the project.
This book provides a comprehensive review of resources, technologies and applications in the salinity gradient power field. Its publication is another indication of the fast-growing interest in this area.
The work of the project on studying the RED performance with a themolytic salt (ammonium hydrogen carbonate) has been published on a paper that is available as open access.
